Sri Brahmadeva
The Divine Creator • Guardian of Sacred Knowledge • The Four-Faced Lord
Sri Brahmadeva is revered in Hindu tradition as the deity associated with creation and the ordering of the manifest universe. In the Trimurti, Brahma represents creation, Vishnu preservation and Shiva transformation.
Natpukovil presents Sri Brahmadeva as a reminder that true creation is not merely production: it is the responsible bringing forth of knowledge, life, order and possibility.

Sri Brahmadeva and the four Vedas
Surrounded by sacred knowledge in every direction
Tradition connects the east-facing head with the Rig Veda, south with the Yajur Veda, west with the Sama Veda and north with the Atharva Veda. The Vedas are regarded as Shruti — “that which is heard” — described as proceeding from or expressed through his four faces.
Rig Veda
A foundational collection of Vedic hymns addressed to deities and cosmic powers.
Yajur Veda
Sacrificial formulas and ritual material for the performance of Vedic rites.
Sama Veda
Melodies and chants used in Vedic ritual, arranged for liturgical singing.
Atharva Veda
Hymns and prayers on wellbeing, protection, household life and spiritual reflection.
Sri Brahmadeva & Saraswati
Creation joined with knowledge
Brahma is frequently associated with Goddess Saraswati. Creation without wisdom can become disorder; knowledge without constructive application can remain unrealised. Together, the imagery invites devotees to unite learning, discernment, responsibility and purposeful action.
